Would you or someone you know like to get involved in local land use and zoning? There is an open seat on the Tamalpais Design Review Board and the application deadline is at the end of this month!
The Tamalpais Design Review Board (TDRB) reviews and comments on land use issues in the unincorporated southern Marin neighborhoods of Tamalpais Valley, Homestead Valley, Almonte, Muir Woods Park, and Tennessee Valley. The TDRB serves as an advisory and resource body and liaison to the Board of Supervisors, the Community Development Agency, the Planning Commission, and the community. Members review and comment on discretionary land use and zoning applications and community plan amendments that are referred by the Community Development Agency.
There is currently one open seat and members are appointed by the Marin County Board of Supervisors. The application deadline for the current vacancy is 5:00pm on January 31, 2020.
TDRB members must reside within the planning area. However, one non-resident architect with special expertise relevant to the planning area may serve. Architects, construction or design professionals, real estate agents or brokers, landscape architects, engineers, business owners, or simply someone interested in serving their community, are invited to apply.
Apply online or learn more about the application process by emailing or calling the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at 415-473-7331. Requests for an application form in writing may be sent to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Suite 329, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael CA 94903.
