Dear District 4 Resident:
As 2019 comes to an end, I would like to extend my sincerest well wishes for this holiday season. I hope you get the opportunity to spend time with your loved ones. During the holidays, I invite you to visit our local restaurants and shops, hike your favorite trails, and enjoy what District 4 has to offer. My office will transitioning into limited service as my staff will be taking some time off. Most County of Marin government offices will be closed from noon on Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and resume regular office hours on Thursday, December 26. It’ll be similar hours a week later – a half day on New Year’s Eve and full observance of the New Year’s Day holiday, then back into a regular routine on Thursday, January 2.
Even though, their administrative offices will be closed, the Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department will be staffed throughout the holidays to ensure public safety and emergency services throughout Marin. Road crews and flood control crews from the Department of Public Works also will be ready to respond to infrastructure and emergency needs. In addition, the Department of Health and Human Services will continue to have 24/7 on-call staff though the holidays for crisis and emergency response.
Recology customers: there will be no recycle, comport, or garbage collection service on Christmas Day and New Years Day. If your regular collection falls on or after the holiday, your service will be delayed by one day. Regular collection service schedule will resume the week of January 6, 2020.
