THE US CENSUS BUREAU IS HIRING
The next phase for hiring by the Census Bureau for 2020 Census jobs begins this week. Our focus to focus members of historically undercounted populations to apply. As the representative for East San Rafael and West Marin, I encourage many of you to consider applying. The pay is competitive. You will be paid weekly, and the hours are flexible.

MARIN CENSUS 2020 KICK-OFF
In partnership with First 5 Marin, the County of Marin will be hosting a Census 2020 Kick-off. This is an opportunity for all members of our community to join in our board chambers and learn about the County’s efforts for a complete count of our population. Spanish and Vietnamese translation will be available.

PUBLIC PRESENTATION AT THE PT. REYES VILLAGE ASSOCIATION MEETING
The Point Reyes Village Association will be hosting the Marin County Department of Public Works at the Dance Palace in Point Reyes Station as part of their regular monthly meeting to discuss a project to install an accessible pedestrian ramp at the Point Reyes Public Restroom. The ramp will provide an accessible pathway from the street intersection and nearby bus stop to the public restrooms located at 2 Toby Street in Point Reyes Station.

CREATING A COMMUNITY WATER STORY
Join our Environmental Health Services (EHS) team as we discuss the final results of the recent survey of water-related needs, assets, and priorities of Point Reyes Station. Topics include water supply, wastewater treatment, sea level rise, water recycling, and other related issues. This meeting is geared for Pt. Reyes Station residents.

PG&E EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS WEBSITE
PG&E has recently unveiled a website to help you better prepare for an emergency. They also provide information on their current steps to reduce the risk of a wildfire. Click here to learn more what to do when emergencies occur.

MARIN WILDFIRE PREVENTION AUTHORITY
Currently, multiple local fire agencies provide fire protection and emergency response services to communities in Marin, but there is no single coordinating agency for wildfire prevention. The Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority (MWPA) would allow local fire agencies and emergency service providers, city and town governments, and the County of Marin to work together as a single coordinated Joint Powers Authority (JPA) to develop and implement a comprehensive wildfire prevention and emergency preparedness initiative.
