Invitation to Help Install A Mosaic on the

Mill Valley-Sausalito Multiuse Path

Mill Valley-Sausalito Multiuse Pathway Roundabout

End of Sycamore Avenue, Mill Valley

Saturday, May 4, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Come join Marin County Parks staff and mosaic artist Wilma Wyss in building a colorful mosaic along the Mill Valley-Sausalito Multiuse Pathway that will celebrate native and marshland plants. The mosaic artist will lead the group in snapping tiles, assembling the pattern on a template, and adhering tiles to tape. The artist will then hand-install the mosaic in June.

Volunteers can also help plant 1 gallon shrubs in the planting area, adding habitat for local birds and butterflies.

Spaces are limited. Please sign up with Eventbrite to assure a spot. Openings will be filled on a first come- first served basis. Be Aware: All shifts are subject to change; shifts on Sunday, May 5th and Monday, May 6th are subject to cancellation if the mosaic is completed ahead of schedule.

Note: Children over ten years old are welcome with adult supervision.

Interested in Dedicating a Tile?: This project is part of the Dedication Program, one of four new opportunities in which Marin County Parks users may commemorate someone special. With a donation of $500 or more, donors will receive a name printed on a tile that will be placed in the border of the mosaic in Fall 2019. Download an application here.
