Marin County's Suicide Prevention Community Survey

Marin County’s Suicide Prevention Community Survey

To all District 2 Residents,

Marin County is partnering with Marin County Office of Education to better understand how suicide impacts our community and what we can do to enhance suicide prevention efforts. The goal is to reduce, if not eliminate, local suicide attempts and deaths, a tragic issue that counties all across the state are dealing with.

The purpose of Marin County’s suicide prevention survey is to get your opinion on the issue of suicide and what prevention efforts and supports work best in your community.  The Marin County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Department (BHRS) will use the results of this survey to help create a county-wide suicide prevention strategic plan aiming to expand and strengthen suicide prevention efforts. By taking 5-10 minutes to complete the survey, you will be playing an important role in supporting the residents of Marin County.

All responses are anonymous and please know that your opinion is important. The survey will be available until February 25.

If you would like to learn more about the Suicide Prevention Strategic Plan and the work of BHRS in collaboration with the Marin County Public Health Department and Marin County Office of Education, please visit https://www.marinhhs.org/suicide-prevention.  If you have specific questions or want to learn more about the different ways to participate in the planning process, please contact Chandrika Zager (CZager@marincounty.org).  Click here to read the recent press release.
