Southern Marin Fire District to Host 3 "Ready Marin" Events

We’ve all been hearing about the North Bay fires. What have we learned? More importantly, are we ready to make the instantaneous decisions required of us in the event of an emergency and the need to evacuate?

Southern Marin Fire Chief Chris Tubbs and Battalion Chief Kai Pasquale will discuss lessons learned during the recent Sonoma and Napa County Fires, including evacuation tips. Here's a chance to learn all about what we can do to protect our homes, prevent fires, create defensible space, make plans in advance and be ready with an evacuation plan should a fire occur.

Readiness is about what we do now to prepare for the inevitable fires and emergencies that require fast action. Three meetings are happening soon at times and locations convenient to just about every neighborhood and community.

Planning ahead on a neighborhood and community basis is essential to our safety and well being. Please note one of these dates on your calendar, share this with your neighbors and invite them to join you. Make it a first step to organize your block!
