Update from Kate -

District 3 Banner Image

This afternoon, two separate vegetation fires broke out alongside Highway 101 near Spencer Avenue in Sausalito.  Each fire is about 1-2 acres in size.  These fires are currently under control and should be extinguished shortly.

Residents will see smoke but no evacuation orders are currently underway. An earlier evacuation order for the Cloudview Road, Cloudview Trail, and Wolfback Ridge Road areas was issued but was reversed at 1:36pm today.  It is safe for residents to return to their homes.

This is a multi-agency response including Marin County Fire, Southern Marin Fire, Central Marin Fire and Mill Valley Fire, with assistance from CalFire. This includes 15 engines, 2 hand crews, 1 bulldozer, 1 helicopter, 4 chief officers, 2 medic units, and 3 water tenders.
