Tam Junction Bicycle & Pedestrian Improvement

 Project Construction Starts Next Week!

I am reaching out to members of the Tamalpais Valley community to let you know that the Tam Junction Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvement Project is now set to begin. It had originally been scheduled to begin earlier this summer but was delayed. Attached for your information and to share with friends and neighbors is a project overview about construction activity.

Residents and visitors in the area will begin to see construction equipment and staging next week. Construction activity will occur at night due to necessary lane closures, ongoing heavy daily traffic demands and to assure worker safety.

Please see the attached advisory for details. The advisory is also posted on the Transportation Authority of Marin website. Schedule updates will be provided as they become available.

The project will have a full-time, on site Construction Manager while the work is being done. Day and evening contact phone numbers are provided on the information sheet.

We look forward to closing this gap in the bicycle and pedestrian network at this heavily trafficked junction. Thanks for your patience as this project progresses. As always, you’re welcome to contact me at ksears@marincounty.org if you have questions or comments to share.
