Update from Kate: Take Transit to the Parks and Enjoy Marin County Student Art

District 3 Banner Image

Be a savvy traveler and take transit to the parks! Here’s a poster (attached) listing all the convenient Marin Transit bus lines that will take you to national, state and Marin County parks in comfort. Now, in addition to letting you enjoy passing scenery with ease, your ride features colorful student artwork!

Students from the Bayside Martin Luther King Jr. Academy in Marin  City and Bahia Vista Elementary School in San Rafael visited the parks and then created art about their travels and what they saw. It’s all part of the Go! Park Art! Program, a multiagency collaboration to get kids to the parks on transit to see and experience the beauty of Marin. The National Park Service transferred the art to posters which Marin Transit, our local transit provider, installed in its vehicles.  New student art will be displayed as the lively Go! Park Art! Program unfolds.

Get on the bus and see our parks through the new eyes and curious vantage point of a child, often seeing these places for the first time!
