Our Share the Path Campaign Re-launches with Back to School!

School campuses are getting tidied up and reader board marquees are spouting welcome messages so Back to School day is just around the corner. The week of August 17, the County of Marin, the City of Mill Valley, and the Marin County Bicycle Coalition MCBC are re-launching the Share the Path public awareness campaign. Share the Path is part of a larger effort to increase safety and enjoyment along the Mill Valley – Sausalito Multiuse Pathway.

To help highlight safety for Back to School on August 26 and International Walk & Roll to School Day on October 7, we are re-installing (through October 8) bold, temporary signs on the path designed to capture attention and remind all pathway users how to share the path.

The Share the Path public education campaign is multifaceted and includes continued outreach tabling at the Sycamore roundabout with an “I Share” banner to sign, classroom education on safety provided by Safe Routes to School, speed feedback signs, additional pathway graphics soon to be painted at crossings, and continued enforcement of speed limits.
