Your Message Concerning Proposed Glyphosate Application at

Ring Mountain Preserve

Over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, I have heard from a number of Southern Marin residents expressing concern over Marin County Park's planned and noticed intent to apply glyphosate at the Ring Mountain Preserve. This application is intended to protect the Tiburon Mariposa Lily which exists only on Ring Mountain. Given the concerns we have heard, I asked Marin County Parks to refrain from the application of glyphosate at Ring Mountain on May 27, 2015 until we have the opportunity to receive further information about this proposed application.

Marin County Parks will not be applying glyphosate at Ring Mountain Preserve on Wednesday, May 27th as planned. Thank you for your vigilance and interest in knowing more about Marin County Parks' land management program at the Ring Mountain Preserve. Please feel free to share this information with others who may be interested.
