As the coronavirus COVID-19 continues to affect our communities and schools, we are evaluating our responses to ensure we are protecting the health and well-being of our members and employees. Following the advice of local and state public health officials, and after careful consideration, we have updated our plans for our member service centers and Contact Center.
Starting today, all member service centers will be closed to walk-in traffic until further notice. In-person individual retirement planning sessions will be conducted by phone. If you have a session scheduled, we will reach out to you by phone, and may send mail and email to help guide you through this change. Details are available on our Benefits Planning webpage.
In addition, we are reducing our Contact Center hours by two hours per day. Starting today, the new hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
As a result, our capacity for calls to our Contact Center may be reduced. We encourage you to visit CalSTRS.com and myCalSTRS.com for many of your information needs. You also may use secure messaging through myCalSTRS or our secure online form.
