CalRecycle is pleased to announce the advertisement posting of the Request for Proposals, Secondary: Rural Infrastructure Zero Waste Plan Request for Proposals - Secondary - DRR24010. The proposal submittal due date is July 17, 2024.

Background: In accordance with the provisions of Assembly Bill (AB) 101, the Budget Act of 2023 (Ting), CalRecycle is required to develop and implement a Statewide Zero Waste Plan. This Contract is one component of a broader effort to develop a comprehensive statewide Zero Waste Plan that will move California from a single-use economy to a fully circular and zero waste economy.

This is a Request for Proposals, Secondary Method for a study to create a Rural Infrastructure Zero Waste Plan.

Work to be performed: CalRecycle seeks a Contractor to create a Zero Waste Plan specifically for California's rural counties and the disadvantaged communities within those counties. The Contractor will examine local government resources and current waste management practices, and engage with the communities to develop a better understanding of the needs specific to their local economies, geography, and demographics.
