EXTENDED - COVID-19 Public Assistance Projects Closeout Submission Deadlines and Guidance

On December 6, 2024, FEMA consolidated and extended the COVID-19 Project Submission Deadlines.
The updated closeout submission deadlines for both small and large projects are detailed below:

As a reminder, we strongly encourage Subrecipients to ensure all project cost documentation is uploaded to Grants Portal even if the project is not yet obligated. This will aid in an expedited closeout review upon obligation and initiation of project closeout.
Assigned Cal OES Disaster Assistance Program Specialist (DAPS) will continue to notify Subrecipients once their projects are available for closeout and provide a Project Completion and Certification Report (P.4) to initiate this process. Please note that P.4s for small projects should not be submitted until all Category B projects within a Subrecipient’s application have been obligated.
Questions may be submitted to a Subrecipient’s assigned Cal OES DAPS or to Cal OES via DisasterRecovery@caloes.ca.gov.
