COVID-19 Public Assistance Projects Closeout Submission Deadlines and Guidance

As a friendly reminder, please note the COVID-19 Public Assistance Projects Closeout Submission Deadlines and Guidance below.

With the imminent Small Projects Closeout Submission Deadline on 09/03/24, and Large Projects Closeout Submission Deadlines soon thereafter, we strongly encourage Subrecipients initiate project closeout for any open projects that are available for closeout. Subrecipients can initiate closeout through the submission of the FEMA Project Completion and Certification Report (P.4) which can be obtained from the Subrecipient’s assigned Cal OES Disaster Assistance Program Specialist (DAPS). Subrecipients with open projects available for closeout will also be contacted directly by their assigned DAPS to request P.4 submission.
Additionally, we strongly encourage Subrecipients to ensure all project cost documentation is uploaded to Grants Portal even if the project is not yet obligated. This will ensure an expedited closeout review upon obligation and P.4 submission.
Thank you to Subrecipients that have already submitted Project Completion and Certification Reports (P.4) under DR-4482-CA. Please note that Cal OES is continuing to work with FEMA regarding COVID-19 closeout streamlining measures.
