FEMA Advisory: Guidance on COVID-19, Requests for Public Assistance and Project Applications & Cost Share Extension April 1 through July 1, 2022

On March 21, 2020, FEMA extended the Request for Public Assistance (RPA) deadline for COVID-19. FEMA established July, 1, 2022, as the deadline for Applicants to submit their RPA's for COVID-19. Note: CalOES recommends RPA's be submitted by April 30, 2022, in order to allow time for review, approvals and confirmation receipt by FEMA.
FEMA also established December 31, 2022, as the interim deadline for eligible Applicants to submit project applications for COVID-19. Applicants must submit RPA's for work completed that began during the start of the incident January 20, 2020, through the end date of July 1, 2022, the end date for 100% Federal Funding. Note: CalOES recommends RPA's be submitted by September 30, 2022, in order to allow time for review, approvals and confirmation receipt by FEMA.
As a reminder, please see Attachment 2, FEMA Advisory - COVID-19 Cost Share Extension for your reference. Please note FEMA funding will remain available for eligible work conducted after July 1, 2022, under the 90/10% cost share until the COVID-19 incident period is closed.
