The Los Angeles County Youth Commission is proud to partner with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) and the Department of Public Health–Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (DPH-SAPC) to help shape the implementation of the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) Integration Plan (IP). Through youth-led sessions, Commissioners are ensuring that youth voices help inform the future of behavioral health services across Los Angeles County.
What's next? The Youth Commission will continue partnering with DMH & DPH-SAPC to provide youth feedback, exchange ideas, develop recommendations that strengthen behavioral health services, and inform the ongoing implementation process. We look forward to continuing our advisory role by keeping youth voices at the center of policy and system improvements.
