Standing Together with Communities Throughout LA
LA’s favorite baseball club manager is back as a special guest in Water for LA’s recent video campaign. Dave Roberts has joined the Water for LA team as a water resiliency advocate for the second year in a row, this time to stand together with community members that have been impacted by the 2025 Eaton and Palisades wildfire.
 2025 Water Resiliency Summit
On June 16, Los Angeles County Public Works joined Supervisor Lindsey Horvath, local elected officials and water leaders throughout Los Angeles to discuss the future of Water for LA. The Water Resiliency Summit provided an opportunity for elected officials and water industry leaders to discuss the LA County Water Plan and explore solutions, collaborations and innovations to ensure a sustainable water supply for LA residents.
Water for LA would like to extend a warm thank you to all speakers, panelists and attendees for making the 2025 Water Resiliency Summit such a success. We hope to see you, and anyone who may have missed the event, next year!

 The Future of Water Security
Pure Water projects are being implemented all throughout the Los Angeles region – and these investments in our future will help ensure Los Angeles has a sustainable and reliable water supply for decades to come.
Projects such as Pure Water Southern California, Pure Water Las Virgenes-Triunfo, Pure Water Los Angeles and Pure Water Antelope Valley are charting the path forward using cutting-edge water recycling methods to strengthen local water supplies. Not only do these projects ensure we get the most out of every drop, but they also help protect our communities from the effects of drought by building up our local water reserves. Learn more about 'new' water for the Los Angeles Region here.
The Water We Have
Like the Pure Water projects highlighted above, stormwater projects are being implemented throughout LA County to preserve local water supplies and safeguard the future of water for LA’s communities. Stormwater projects utilize local infrastructure networks to capture, transport and treat stormwater that would otherwise flow back out to the ocean.
Our new video, titled “The Water We Have,” highlights the exciting process of capturing stormwater and the benefits it has for local communities.

Adventure Park Stormwater Capture Project is Open!
LA County’s newest stormwater capture project, Adventure Park, is now open to the public! By capturing, filtering and storing stormwater, the Adventure Park Multi-Benefit Stormwater Capture project will help improve water quality and increase the supply in Coyote Creek and the San Gabriel River watersheds.
Stormwater projects are vital to ensuring water sustainability and safeguarding the future of water for local communities. Our Adventure Park Stormwater Capture project will enhance the water supply of the South Whittier community, while simultaneously increasing public awareness on water sustainability.
