 SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH IN L.A. COUNTY
Los Angeles County faces emergencies and disasters, whether they be natural, technological, or human-caused, that can impact our public safety and quality of life at any given time. The Board of Supervisors has proclaimed September as National Preparedness Month. Exposure to disaster preparedness information and trainings are essential for County residents and businesses to become meaningfully engaged and prepared when these emergencies and disasters strike. DPSS provides funding to community-based organizations that can provide you and your family with services, such as shelter, domestic violence support, child and family services, senior services, and more. YOUTH AT WORK PROGRAM OFFERS VALUABLE LIFE & WORK SKILLS
The County of Los Angeles is accepting applications from youth individuals ages 14 to 24 for the Youth@Work Program. The program offers access to paid work-based learning, work readiness, personal enrichment training, academic and career development, and advanced career services. LA EYE CAMP OFFERING FREE VISION CARE ON SEPTEMBER 30
