Wednesday, July 26, is National Disability Independence Day and the 33rd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This year’s theme is “Advancing Access and Equity,” commemorating the contributions of workers with disabilities.  DPSS recognizes its own Civil Rights/ADA Section for ensuring people with disabilities are afforded equal rights and opportunities in L.A. CalWORKs parents who are pregnant or parenting a three-year old or younger child, can receive FREE home-based support to help keep their family healthy through various programs.
