Wednesday, July 26, is National Disability Independence Day and the 33rd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This year’s theme is “Advancing Access and Equity,” commemorating the contributions of workers with disabilities.  CALWORKS HOME VISITING PROGRAM OFFERS FREE SUPPORT TO PARENTS
CalWORKs parents who are pregnant or parenting a three-year old or younger child, can receive FREE home-based support to help keep their family healthy through various programs. BUSINESSES AND MERCHANTS BEWARE OF EBT SKIMMING
Protect your business and DPSS customers from fraud and theft by safeguarding your electronic point of sale equipment from skimming devices. Stay aware to ensure that your equipment hasn’t been compromised. Found a skimming device? Call the California EBT Retailer Hotline at 866-328-4212.
L.A. COUNTY PARKS OFFERING FREE SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM
The L.A. County Department of Parks and Recreation free Summer Lunch Program is underway through August 4 for kids and teens ages 1-18. For more information, visit 2023 Lunch Program or text “SummerMeals” to 97779.

The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) Child Protection Hotline is open 24/7. Keep children safe and report any suspicious activity. If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected, please call 800-540-4000.
