ePR Access in MyLACounty.gov
We are pleased to announce that the Electronic Personnel Digitization and Records Management (ePR) tile, which is pictured below, is available in workforce members’ accounts at mylacounty.gov.
After full-time employees have logged into their accounts, the ePersonnel Record tile will appear and provide access to an individual’s Personnel File in the Human Resources Department. Only employees with an #E number will have access to ePR.
The ePR system was created to replace the manual process of maintaining paper files by serving as an electronic content management system where all employees’ Personnel Files will be stored in one centralized digital location.
These employee electronic Personnel Files are private.
Traditionally, individuals needed to schedule an appointment, during work hours, to review their file.
The new ePR system enables County staff to conveniently view their HR documents at their leisure through a county-issued computer, encrypted password, and verification process. Â
Employees can view and search their Personnel File, upload a document for consideration for HR to review and approve to be added to their file, or request a deletion of a document currently within their own Personnel File.
When requesting to add and/or delete documents, the employees initiate the request from the portal and HR will approve or deny the request. Employees will receive an email notification at their County email address confirming the request has been submitted, and a notification stating the request has been approved or the reason it was rejected.
To log into your ePR account:
- To go http://mylacounty.gov/
- Enter your MyLACounty.gov username and password
- Click on “Launch Workspace”
- Click on “ePersonnel Record,” found near the top of the page and under Hello “Your Name.”
- The page will refresh, please give it a few seconds, and the following page should appear
Workforce members will have access to How-to Videos in the top left corner of the homepage in the ePR portal. Those videos are also available below:

June is Silicosis Awareness Month
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors passed a motion declaring June as Silicosis Awareness month to highlight the health issues individuals endure while working with the granite and silica-based products used in home renovations.
The Board decided on the motion after local and national news outlets published stories that highlighted physicians at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center sounding the alarm after having a pivotal role in diagnosing 30 Silicosis cases in LA County.
Silicosis, which was last prominently seen in Egypt during the construction of the pyramids, is a terminal disease where stone dust enters the patients’ lungs and limits their ability to breathe. Patients lose lung capacity as more dust enters their lungs.
To learn more about Silicosis and LA Health’s important role to identify this disease in LA County, please visit The Pulse and see our article about the topic that published earlier this year.
Nursing Assistant Week – June 15 - 21
National Nursing Assistant Week is June 15 - 23 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our nursing assistants and orderlies who have a pivotal role in supporting the health of our patients and our mission at DHS.
They provide much of the daily attention needed for the well-being of the elderly, frail, chronically ill, or rehabilitation patients who cannot perform routine living tasks for themselves.
Nursing assistants and orderlies clean treatment areas and transport patients around our facilities every day.
Please take a few moments this week to express your gratitude to these caregivers for their hard work and dedication.

The Give a Cup of Coffee campaign aims to express gratitude and support to the dedicated healthcare professionals who work tirelessly in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). A cup of coffee is a small token of appreciation for the hard work and compassion of NICU heroes, including doctors, nurses, and staff, who play a crucial role in caring for premature babies and infants requiring specialized medical attention.Â
Through this campaign, we hope to uplift spirits, provide moments of relaxation, and show our heartfelt gratitude to these extraordinary individuals. Together, let's make a difference and brighten the day of our NICU heroes!
You can still support the March of Dimes March for Babies, visit the Los Angeles County March of Dimes March for Babies Page and click on the pink “donate” button next to your department’s team.
Juneteenth Holiday
DHS will celebrate Juneteenth on Monday, June 19, and all administrative services and clinics will be closed for the holiday.
The holiday, also called Emancipation Day or Juneteenth Independence Day, is named after June 19, 1865, when slavery officially ended in the United States. Although the Emancipation Proclamation was signed in 1862 and went into effect on January 1, 1863, the enslavement of Black Americans in the U.S. was not officially considered ended until Union troops marched into Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, and ensured that enslaved individuals in the city were freed.
In honor of the holiday, please consider the ongoing impacts of slavery in our society or commit to learning more about the history of slavery and structural racism today. Here is a Juneteenth resources to get you started:Â Juneteenth Historical Legacy and a list of Juneteenth events in Los Angeles County.
