Dear SAPC Treatment Network,
In an effort to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH) is distributing additional COVID-19 Antigen Test Kits to SAPC providers who serve the communities most impacted by COVID-19.
The survey to request these kits can be found via http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YJTH9S9. This survey will remain open as long as there is sufficient inventory, so please make your request as soon as possible.
Please be sure to select the applicable category:
- For congregate sites (residential and recovery bridge housing sites), please select Substance Use Disorder Congregate Settings. In these settings, these tests are intended to supplement your existing processes for COVID-19 testing of newly arriving patients and those patients who may have in and out privileges.
- Other [non-residential / non- recovery bridge housing] providers should select Substance Use Disorder Outpatient Settings. These tests can be provided directly to patients so that they can self-test before and 3-5 days after any indoor gatherings with non-household members. Self-tests can be taken at home or anywhere, are easy to use, and produce rapid results. These kits are intended for patients (and not staff) and are not a substitute for COVID-19 PCR testing.
Requests that are submitted will be considered on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. SAPC’s network serves the communities most impacted by COVID-19, so we encourage you to request and distribute these home testing kits with your patients as soon as possible.
Please request up to a 90-day supply if you are able to store it. Information from CA DPH related to COVID-19 Antigen Self-Test Expiration Extensions is attached to this email (Temporary-Extension-At-Home-Test-Expirations_03.04.22).
If you have any questions, please contact the DPH COVID-19 Antigen Test Distribution Team at nCovid-TLT@ph.lacounty.gov.
We thank you for the life-saving care you provide and look forward to continue working with you to make Los Angeles County a safer space for our community.
Thank you,
SAPC Team
