Los Angeles County Probation Department Evacuates Camp Afflerbaugh & Camp Joseph Paige
LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles County Probation Department has voluntarily evacuated Camp’s Paige and Afflerbaugh in La Verne.
Twenty-eight youth, nineteen from Camp Paige and nine from Camp Afflerbaugh, have been transported to Barry J. Nidorf, where they will remain for the next week. The voluntary evacuation resulted from minor damages sustained at the camps due to heavy winds.
The facilities are currently being evaluated for damage, and repairs should be completed by next week. All parents and guardians have been notified.
