Time is running out! The deadlines for compliance with the vaccine mandate are fast-approaching— September 30th for the State Health Order and October 1st for the LA County Executive Order.
For those who have not yet received the vaccine, the time to get the vaccine is now. You can get any of the COVID-19 vaccines currently available via your provider, community vaccine site or DHS.
If you plan to get vaccinated at DHS, September 9th is last day to get your first dose of the Pfizer vaccine to meet compliance.
The mandates require staff to have both doses of a two-dose regimen by the established deadline. This means the last day to get your first dose of a two-dose vaccine series is September 9th; to be followed by the second dose on September 30th (21 days after 1st dose).
To facilitate access to getting your vaccine, Employee Health Services is providing staff vaccine clinics. Please sign up now. Go to Persinda and submit your request form with the location preference. You will then receive an appointment via email.
Still need to submit proof of the COVID-19 vaccine you received outside of DHS? Do it today, it’s easy!
Steps:
- Make a pdf or jpg copy of your vaccine card
- Email the image to your Employee Health representative
Or drop off a copy in person at your local Employee Health Services.
Visit our COVID-19 SharePoint for a full listing of Employee Health Services including emails and phone numbers.
Exemption?
We know some are waiting for the exemption form. We expect LA County will soon be issuing information on the process for those who will be seeking an exemption. Please note exemptions will be considered for those with legitimate medical contraindications to vaccination or religious beliefs requiring an exemption. Proper documentation will be requested as needed. Updates will be provided as soon as available.
