The California Department of Public Health set weekly COVID-19 testing requirements to go into effect next Monday, August 23.
Regular COVID-19 testing for workers who are not fully vaccinated will help protect our patients, visitors and all DHS staff, especially as we see the devastating impact that the highly contagious Delta variant is having in our communities.âŻÂ Â
LA County is expected to finalize the contract with a third-party testing vendor by today, Friday August 20. Department of Health Services expects to launch required testing by the end of the week of August 23rd.Â
You will be responsible for your required testing once testing at our facilities is made available and you have received official notification of your testing requirement.
We understand there are many questions pending answers and clarity.
There is now an FAQ available to help provide answers to your questions about the weekly testing requirement.
You can find the FAQ here:
The FAQ will be adjusted as necessary, please make sure to check back frequently for the most updated version.
Still need to submit proof of your COVID-19 vaccine? Do it today, itâs easy!
Steps:
- Make a pdf or jpg copy of your vaccine card
- Email the image to your Employee Health representative
Or drop off a copy in person at your local Employee Health Services.
Visit our COVID-19 SharePoint for a full listing of Employee Health Services including emails and phone numbers.Â
For those who have not yet received the vaccine, the time to get the vaccine is now.
The deadlines for the vaccine mandate are September 30 for the State Health Order and October 1 for the LA County Executive Order. These deadlines are just around the corner and it is important to remember that the mandates require staff to have both doses of a two-dose regimen by the established deadline.
To facilitate access to getting your vaccine, Employee Health Services will launch mass staff vaccine clinics next week. We encourage you to sign up now. Go to Persinda and submit your request form with the location you prefer to be vaccinated at. You will then receive an appointment via email. Link to: Persinda
Thank You,
