🚨NEW CA Health Order – Vaccine Mandate

Dr. Ghaly Header

DHS Staff,

As the Delta variant continues to quickly spread across our communities, local and state leaders have taken necessary steps to strengthen the protections at healthcare facilities for all staff, patients, and visitors.

On August 5, 2021, California Department of Public Health issued a new California Public Health Order requiring workers in the healthcare setting to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by September 30, 2021. The previous July 26 Public Health Order - requiring weekly testing for those not vaccinated - will continue to apply. To see full Health Order, click here.

On August 4, 2021, LA County issued an Executive Order requiring all county employees to be vaccinated. The order is effective immediately and requires all county employees – regardless of department - to provide proof of full vaccination by October 1, 2021. To view the Executive Order, click here.

We are reviewing the recent health orders and the LA County executive order to ensure we are compliant by the approaching deadlines. Our goal is to keep our staff and patients safe, while ensuring the integrity of our health services and patient care.  Information on how we will adapt our expected practices will be forthcoming.

Thank you for your dedication to the patients and communities we serve.

Dr. Christina Ghaly

Steps:

  1. Make a pdf or jpg copy of vaccine card
  2. Email to your Employee Health representative, see email addresses below.

Or drop off in person – bring a copy of your vaccine card to your local EHS
