At this special meeting, Mary Kenney will be sworn in as a new Commissioner of the Los Angeles County Citizens Redistricting Commission. Additionally, there will be continued discussion and possible selections of consulting services for demographics & mapping and voter polarization analysis.

County of Los Angeles Citizens Redistricting Commission (CRC)
In 2016, the California Legislature passed Senate Bill 958, requiring Los Angeles County to assemble the CRC following the Federal census. The role of the CRC is to draw the boundary lines of the five single-member, supervisorial districts of the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors by December 15, 2021. The CRC is to be independent from the influence of the Board of Supervisors.

Commissioners include Jean Franklin, David Holtzman, Mary Kenney, Daniel Mayeda (Co-Chair), Mark Mendoza, Apolonio Morales, Nelson Obregon, Priscilla Orpinela-Segura, Hailes Soto, Saira Soto, Brian Stecher, John Vento, Carolyn Williams (Co-Chair), and Doreena Wong
