Greetings Essential Workers,
We are pleased to share that starting March 1, 2021, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) has opened COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to LA County essential workers within the Food and Agriculture sector. This includes restaurant employees, workers who support restaurant carry-out, and employees within quick serve food operations (including food preparation), carry-out and food delivery employees.
To ensure access, Public Health has reserved vaccine appointments for Food and Agriculture sector workers at our five large drive-up vaccination point of dispensing sites or Mega-PODs next week on Monday (3/8/2021), Tuesday (3/9/2021) and Wednesday (3/10/2021). After next week, the reserved days for Food and Agriculture sector will be every Monday and Tuesday of each week. Additional walk-up sites will likely be added. Please continue to check our vaccine website for updates: http://www.publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/vaccine/index.htm
Please note, once eligible, Food and Agriculture sector workers will be able to make an appointment at any vaccination site on any day. The specific days reserved for Food and Agriculture sector will be reserved specifically for them, so it may be easier to make appointments on those days.
To book an appointment at a Public Health website, please visit http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/acd/ncorona2019/vaccine/hcwsignup/pods/. Those who do not have computer access should may call 1-833-540-0473 between 8:00am – 8:30pm for assistance with making an appointment.
