Sector - Date of Reopening - Restrictions
- Nail Salons - October 1 - Indoor services may resume at 25% capacity. Outdoor services should continue as much as possible.
- Schools (TK-2) Waiver Program - Applications can be submitted on October 5 - Limited to 30 schools per week.
- Cardrooms - October 5 - Outdoor operations only. Food and beverages may not be served at the tables.
- Indoor Shopping Malls - October 7 - Occupancy limited to 25% capacity; all food courts and all common areas remain closed.
- Outside Playgrounds - At the discretion of cities and L.A. County Parks and Recreation - Face coverings and physical distancing are required.
- Public Health is consulting with County Counsel to determine the process and date for re-opening outdoor operations at breweries and wineries serving a meal. We anticipate this process will be completed in a week.

School Waivers for TK-2 Soon:

The school waiver program will begin accepting applications for TK-2 in person instruction in early October.
The issuance of waivers will be prioritized to schools with higher percentages of students qualified for free/reduced meals. Schools must also be able to open in full adherence with the L.A. County school re-opening protocols.
The application process will be available online at publichealth.lacounty.gov and will be launched in early October.
Please note: TK is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate. To learn more about TK visit the California Department of Education.

The City of LA Request for Proposal for Project Homekey Sites:
- The City of Los Angeles Request for Proposals (RFP) to Select Owner/Operators for Project Homekey Sites was released on Monday, September 28, 2020, on the Los Angeles Business Assistance Virtual Network (LABAVN). The full RFP, including all attachments and frequently asked questions, may be downloaded directly from the LABAVN website at https://labavn.org/. The ID Number for this RFP is 40822.
- The proposal period will remain open through Monday, October 19, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. A Proposers Conference will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2020. Attendance at the Proposers Conference is not mandatory.
