Supervisor Solis and Mexican Consulate Launch a COVID-19 Testing Site in MacArthur Park |

LOS ANGELES, CA – Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis and the Consul General of Mexico Marcela Celorio announce a new COVID-19 testing inside the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles. Located in MacArthur Park, this free COVID-19 testing site will open Wednesday.
With data revealing that Latinos in LA County have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, Supervisor Solis and the Consulate of Mexico have partnered to open this COVID-19 testing site in MacArthur Park. Tests will be conducted five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. More than 1,500 tests will be administered weekly.
The opening of this site will give Latinos more access to free COVID-19 testing. At Supervisor Solis’ direction, LA County is opening this testing site in the MacArthur Park neighborhood to improve access. In addition, staff will assist local residents who speak Spanish, Zapotec, Quiché, or other Mayan language.
Attendees at this press conference will be subject to a temperature screening and expected to wear a face covering at all times. In addition, physical distancing requirements will be enforced.
