WHAT:
As the Fourth of July holiday approaches, local fire and law enforcement officials will be joined by the Grossman Burn Center to discuss the importance of fireworks safety as well as show the harmful effects of fireworks and the penalties associated with their use.
A professional pyrotechnic expert will be on-hand to detonate fireworks to demonstrate the dangerous potential of fireworks.
To prevent fireworks-related injuries and keep communities safe, residents are encouraged to attend a professional fireworks show. For a list of shows in Los Angeles County, visit www.fire.lacounty.gov or call our Fireworks Hotline at 888-654-FIRE.
