Fiesta Latina en Irvine Brings Music, Flavor, and Culture to the Great Park
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the fifth annual Fiesta Latina en Irvine Sunday, September 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Great Park.
This free, family-friendly festival celebrates Latin American culture with live music and dance, authentic cuisine, colorful art displays, handcrafted goods, and interactive cultural experiences. Enjoy traditional folk dances, local food trucks, cultural workshops, Lotería, a piñata party, engaging exhibits, and more.
Hispanic Heritage Month, observed September 15–October 15, recognizes the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. The national theme for 2026 is “Unidos, Somos Más” — “Together, We Are More.”

Labor Day Holiday Closures

City facilities will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Irvine CONNECT and TRIPS buses will not operate. Parks will remain open for passive use, and the Irvine Police Department Business Desk will remain open. |

A Night of Paws-itively Funny Comedy

Get ready for a night of laughs that makes a difference. Comedy Unleashed returns Tuesday, September 15, at the Irvine Improv, bringing together comedy, community, and compassion in support of the animals at the Irvine Animal Care Center.
Enjoy dinner, an evening of live entertainment featuring comedians Jen Murphy, Eric Schwartz, and Cory Baumgartner, an online auction, and more — all while helping provide care for pets in need. Pacific Symphony’s SummerFest Presents Tchaikovsky Spectacular: Concert of Hope
Experience an unforgettable night of classical music and fireworks Saturday, September 5, as Pacific Symphony presents Tchaikovsky Spectacular: Concert of Hope during SummerFest 2026 at Great Park Live.
Acclaimed violinist Randall Goosby joins Pacific Symphony for Tchaikovsky’s beloved Violin Concerto. Led by conductor Eric Jacobsen, the program also features works by Copland, Anna Clyne, and Rossini, then concludes with Tchaikovsky’s explosive 1812 Overture and a spectacular fireworks finale.

All September: National Recovery Month
National Recovery Month is observed each September to raise awareness about substance use and mental health disorders, celebrate people in recovery, and reinforce that recovery is possible. The observance also works to reduce stigma and encourage individuals to seek help and support.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, provides resources and tools to help individuals, organizations, and communities support recovery.
