Beat the Heat with Summer in the City Fun
Enjoy free, family-friendly entertainment during the City of Irvine's Summer in the City series. Catch A Minecraft Movie, Friday, July 17, or How to Train Your Dragon (2025), Friday, July 24, at Hicks Canyon Community Park. Food trucks open at 6:30 p.m., and movies begin after sunset.
Then, Saturday, July 18, enjoy live music from Jukebox, a Top 40 band, at Mike Ward Community Park — Woodbridge. The concert begins at 5:30 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to bring low-back chairs, blankets, and picnic-style treats. Refreshments will also be available for purchase from on-site food trucks. All events are free, with no tickets or registration required.

Wilderness Access Day Celebrates America 250
Explore rarely accessible trails during Wilderness Access Day, Saturday, July 18, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bommer Canyon Preserve. For one day only, visitors can enjoy self-guided hiking and biking throughout the southern Open Space Preserve, including the single-track trails in Shady Canyon and Bommer Canyon that are typically reserved for guided activities. From 10 a.m. to noon, stop by the America 250 Frontiers & Freedom photo opportunity to capture a memorable family photo. Registration is not required. Support Mental Wellness with the Kindness Network

The Kindness Network, announced by Mayor Larry Agran during the State of the City, is a community initiative that brings together local organizations to expand access to mental wellness resources through collaboration.
The Kindness Network connects the Irvine community with organizations that provide inclusive, meaningful support and resources to promote mental well-being, reduce stigma, and strengthen community connections.

Daisy Chain Fields Music Festival Information for Great Park Neighborhood Residents

Daisy Chain Fields, a new music festival founded by Olivia Rodrigo and produced by C3 Presents, comes to the Great Park Saturday, August 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The inaugural festival will feature performances by female-led artists, including Chappell Roan, Mitski, Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks, Bikini Kill, and Olivia Rodrigo.
Great Park neighbors may notice increased event activity beginning August 23, including temporary structures, staging, equipment deliveries, and additional staff throughout portions of the park. Event breakdown will continue through September 2. Temporary lane and street closures will be in effect August 29, and Dash Passes will be available for residents who need access through designated Resident Access Only streets. Catch the excitement of the FIFA World Cup at Great Park Live during free watch parties featuring the tournament's final weekend matches on massive LED screens. Join fellow fans as the world's best teams compete in the third-place match and the championship final during an exciting outdoor viewing experience.
Gates open one hour before kickoff, with food and beverages available for purchase. Admission is free, but reservations are required. Guests are welcome to bring blankets and low-back chairs. Adirondack chairs will also be available for rent on-site for $10 each.
Upcoming watch parties include the FIFA World Cup third-place match Saturday, July 18, at 2 p.m., and the FIFA World Cup Final Sunday, July 19, at noon.
