Experience the 32nd Annual Studio Arts Festival
Celebrate creativity at the 32nd Annual Studio Arts Festival Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Heritage Community Park, adjacent to the Irvine Fine Arts Center.
Presented by Arts in Irvine, this free outdoor festival features more than 100 artists showcasing and selling original handcrafted works, including ceramics, painting, sculpture, jewelry, photography, fiber arts, woodworking, glasswork, soaps, candles, and more. Visitors can meet artists, explore unique creations, and discover the talents of local and regional makers.
Enjoy live music, food vendors, and a day filled with art and inspiration while learning about exhibitions, classes, and year-round programs offered through the Irvine Fine Arts Center.
Admission and parking are free. Heritage Community Park is located at 14301 Yale Ave.

Arts in Irvine Exhibition Revisits The Great Picture 20 Years Later
Explore the story behind The Great Picture, the world’s largest photograph, in a new Arts in Irvine exhibition opening Thursday, June 11, at Irvine City Hall. Created in 2006 inside a former MCAS El Toro hangar transformed into a giant pinhole camera, the photograph captured a pivotal moment in Irvine’s history before the site became the Great Park.
The exhibition features photographs, archival materials, and behind-the-scenes insights into the creation of this landmark project by The Legacy Project, a collective of six Southern California photographers. A free opening reception will be held Thursday, June 11, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Summer in the City Concert Series Begins June 6 |

Kick off the Summer in the City concert series with an evening of live music at Mike Ward Community Park — Woodbridge Saturday, June 6, at 5:30 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a Jimmy Buffett tribute performance by Jimmy’s Buffet.
Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks or purchase food and beverages from gourmet food trucks on-site. Admission is free.

City to Honor 52 New Wall of Recognition Inductees

The City of Irvine will celebrate the induction of 52 individuals and organizations to the Wall of Recognition Tuesday, June 9, 3 p.m. at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park. The Wall of Recognition honors those who have made significant contributions to the Irvine community through leadership, service, innovation, and civic engagement.
Established in 2006, the Wall of Recognition features more than 500 individuals, businesses, and organizations whose lasting impact has helped shape Irvine’s history and future.

Sing along to Queen’s greatest hits as Queen Nation brings its high-energy tribute show to Great Park Live. The all-ages concert will feature favorites like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You,” and “Somebody to Love.” Free parking is available.

June 6: D-Day
Observed annually June 6, D-Day commemorates the Allied invasion of Normandy, France, in 1944 during World War II. More than 156,000 American, British, and Canadian troops participated in one of the largest military operations in history, helping begin the liberation of Western Europe from Nazi occupation.
D-Day remains a time to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who helped shape the outcome of the war and secure freedom for future generations.
