Traffic Signal Shutdown at Harvard Avenue and San Carlo
The traffic signal at Harvard Avenue and San Carlo will be turned off or placed in red flash mode from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 16.
Every effort will be made to keep traffic flowing and minimize disruptions, but delays should be expected, and motorists should consider using alternate routes when possible.

Jamboree & Michelson Pedestrian Bridge Lane Closure
The Jamboree & Michelson Pedestrian Bridge project is moving into the next phase of development as crews begin building the bridge foundation and elevator tower walls. This work will require the closure of the dedicated right turn lane from westbound Michelson Drive to northbound Jamboree Road beginning Monday, May 18.
A new traffic pattern will allow vehicles to make a right turn via a dedicated right-turn lane. Revised striping and signage will be in place to direct motorists.
Work will occur weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Jamboree & Michelson Pedestrian Bridge aims to improve pedestrian safety, ease traffic congestion, and serve as a gateway monument for anyone entering the Irvine Business Complex. It is expected to be complete July 2027.

Harvard Avenue & Michelson Drive Intersection Improvements
One eastbound and westbound lane on Michelson Drive at Harvard Avenue will be closed as work continues on the Harvard Avenue and Michelson Drive Intersection Improvements project.
Phase 3 is underway and will continue through September. Work will occur Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This intersection widening project will enhance traffic flow through the intersection and improve signal timing coordination along the Harvard Avenue and Michelson Drive corridors.
The City is removing and replacing asphalt pavement, curb and gutter, curb ramps and, sidewalk, as well as modifying traffic signal equipment behind temporary traffic control delineators and permanent K-rail lane closures. The project is anticipated to be complete this fall.

College Park and Colony Park Neighborhood Street Rehabilitation
As part of the Street Rehabilitation Program, the City is performing pavement rehabilitation on local and residential streets in the College Park and Colony Park neighborhoods.
Work occurs weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on residential streets and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on arterial streets through June.
Every effort will be made to complete the project efficiently and minimize disruption to the community. Please note that access to streets and driveways may be temporarily restricted while work is underway. Parking within the neighborhoods may also be limited during construction activities; vehicles must be parked outside the posted work areas until construction is complete and signage is removed. Access to businesses and private streets or communities will be maintained throughout the project.

Jamboree Road and Main Street Intersection Enhancements
The Jamboree Road and Main Street intersection project is underway with work occurring weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The project, which will continue through winter, will widen and enhance the intersection and reduce traffic congestion on Jamboree Road and Main Street. Specific improvements include lengthening left turn lanes, removing islands at southwest and southeast corners, modifying the traffic signal system, implementing drainage, water quality, and street lighting upgrades, and installing Class II bike lanes.

Woodbury Neighborhood Improvements
There are two projects aimed at improving streets and sidewalks in the Woodbury neighborhood.
Sidewalk, curb ramp, and miscellaneous concrete and accessibility improvements are underway weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on residential streets and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on arterial streets through June. View the construction notice and map.
In addition, pavement rehabilitation through the Slurry Seal Project occurs weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until August. View the construction notice and map.

Southbound State Route 55 Dyer Road Off-Ramp Extended Closure
The Orange County Transportation Authority is reconstructing the southbound State Route 55 (SR-55) Dyer Road straight off-ramp, which requires an extended closure of the off-ramp through Friday, May 22, at 9 p.m.

I-5 Freeway Improvement Project Ramp Closures
The Orange County Transportation Authority, in partnership with Caltrans, is improving the I-5 Freeway between the I-405 Freeway and State Route 55 to reduce congestion, enhance safety, and improve travel.
Beginning May 13, lanes closest to the median in both directions of Jamboree Road at the I-5 bridge will be closed for bridge widening. At least one lane in each direction will be open to traffic. Work will occur from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
These lane closures will remain in place until late 2026. There will also be intermittent nighttime full street closures for eastbound and westbound Jamboree Road.
