CicloIrvine Returns Saturday, May 2
The City of Irvine’s third annual CicloIrvine Open Streets event takes place Saturday, May 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Walk, bike, and roll along a 1.3-mile car-free stretch of Irvine Boulevard between Culver Drive and Parkwood. Enjoy live music, art, and activities as you explore Irvine in a new way.
Street closures will be in effect Saturday, May 2, from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Plan for detours if you live or work along the route. Designated crossing points will be available, and access to The Groves will remain open via Parkwood near Jeffrey Road.
Businesses can participate by becoming a sponsor or offering event-day specials. Volunteer opportunities are also available.

Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation
The City of Irvine is joining cities nationwide for the Wyland National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation, encouraging residents to take simple steps to save water during April.
Presented by the Wyland Foundation, the annual challenge invites residents to make an online pledge to use water more efficiently, reduce pollution, and save energy.
“I am proud to support the 2026 Wyland National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation and encourage Irvine residents to take part,” said Mayor Larry Agran. “In a City known for thoughtful planning and responsible water use, Irvine can lead by example and show how small, everyday actions add up to real conservation.”
To participate, visit mywaterpledge.com and select Irvine. Cities with the highest percentage of participants can be recognized as the most water-wise in the nation. Participants may also win eco-friendly prizes and up to $3,000 toward their home utility bills.

Irvine Police Department Open House — April 11

Join the Irvine Police Department for an Open House Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Irvine Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza.
See police and fire vehicles and enjoy demonstrations from K-9, drone, and motorcycle units. There will be photo opportunities, games, face painting, and giveaways while supplies last. Food will be available for purchase.
Parking is off-site. Shuttle service will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Irvine Animal Care Center Virtual 5K — April 1–30

Join the Irvine Animal Care Center Virtual 5K and support animals in need April 1–30.
Walk, jog, or run at your own pace and in any location. Participate solo or with friends, family, and pets.
Registration is $35 and supports care and adoption services for animals. Finish by April 30 to receive a medal and certificate. Add a pet to earn a commemorative medal for $8.
