2026 Open Space Celebration
Join the City of Irvine and the Irvine Ranch Conservancy for the 2026 Open Space Celebration Saturday, April 18, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Quail Hill Trailhead. Enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast, family-friendly activities, and a guided hike along the 1.8-mile Quail Hill Loop Trail.
The guided hike begins at 10:15 a.m. and is suitable for all ages. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Advance registration is required, and space is limited. Reserve your spot at yourirvine.org.

Annual Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee Baby Gift Drive
March 29–April 21
The City of Irvine, in partnership with the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee, invites the community to participate in the annual Baby Gift Drive supporting the adopted 2/11 Marine Battalion.
Donate new, unopened baby items such as diapers, clothing, carriers, monitors, books, and care essentials. Items may be purchased locally or through the Amazon wish list. Monetary donations are also accepted.

Final Week: Foster Donation Drive

You can help support puppies and kittens, post-surgery animals, and animals healing from an injury by donating essential supplies during the Irvine Animal Care Center's Foster Donation Drive. Through March 31, donate items including formula, syringes, playpens, and other supplies to help care for the animals while they prepare for adoption into forever homes.

Sustainable Choices and Community Opportunities in Irvine

Make simple choices that support a more sustainable Irvine. Under California law AB 1276, restaurants provide single-use utensils and condiments only upon request for dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders — so if you need them, just ask.
Attend the Electrification 101 Workshop Thursday, April 2, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Irvine City Hall, 1 Civic Center Plaza, to hear from experts about switching from gas to electric appliances and supporting the City’s climate goals. Register for workshop.
Free compost will be available Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Great Park, 8000 Great Park Blvd., Parking Lot 8, while supplies last.

Get ready, Irvine — April brings a lineup of live music and family-friendly entertainment to Great Park Live.
Queen Nation takes the stage Saturday, April 11, delivering a high-energy tribute to Queen with performances of iconic hits.
The Holo Holo Music Festival arrives Saturday, April 18, featuring a lineup of island and reggae artists, including SOJA, The Green, IAM TONGI, Sons of Zion, and more, celebrating music, culture, and connection.
Families can join the fun Saturday, April 25, as Blippi brings the Be Like Blippi Tour to Irvine Nights at Great Park Live. This interactive live show features music, movement, and fan-favorite songs in an engaging experience for all ages.

Vietnam War Veterans Day — March 29
March 29 is designated as Vietnam War Veterans Day, a time to honor the men and women who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Vietnam War from 1955 to 1975.
The day recognizes the service and sacrifice of more than 58,000 Americans who lost their lives, as well as the many veterans who returned home and faced significant challenges following their service.
Communities across the country observe the day with ceremonies, memorial tributes, and opportunities to thank Vietnam veterans for their dedication and contributions.
