City of Irvine Earns National and State Budget Awards
The City of Irvine has received national and state recognition for its Fiscal Year 2025–27 Adopted Budget, highlighting the City’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible financial planning.
The City earned the Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Presentation Award — with Special Recognition for Performance Measures — marking the 35th consecutive year Irvine has received this honor. The award recognizes agencies that meet the highest standards in governmental budgeting, including serving as a clear policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communication tool.
In addition, the City received the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers Operating Budget Excellence Award, recognizing excellence in municipal budgeting and financial reporting.

The City of Irvine is planning for the future of the Irvine Public Library and exploring a new main branch at the Great Park — envisioned as a hub for learning, connection, and community life. Community members are invited to attend an upcoming community meeting to learn more, hear a brief presentation, and share input that will help shape the library’s future.

Residents are invited to attend a virtual meeting for neighbors of the Frank R. Bowerman Landfill Thursday, March 26, at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
The meeting provides an opportunity for residents to share concerns and receive updates.
Residents who are unable to attend may submit questions in advance. The meeting will also be recorded and posted online for later viewing.

Foster a Brighter Future for Animals in Need

You can help support puppies and kittens, post-surgery animals, and animals healing from an injury by donating essential supplies during the annual Irvine Animal Care Center Foster Donation Drive. Through March 31, donate items, including formula, syringes, playpens, and other supplies to help care for the animals while they prepare for adoption into forever homes.

Make, Bake, and Play
March 25: Holiday Cookie Club: Hippity-Hop Desserts Turtle Rock Community Center, 3–4 p.m. Bake up some springtime sweetness and decorate festive, bunny-inspired treats perfect for celebrating the season.
March 26 & 27: Kid Cooks: Mad About March Meals Deerfield Community Center, 3:30–4:30 p.m. Children will learn to make delicious baked chicken taquitos and fresh homemade pico de gallo while building confidence and creativity in the kitchen.
March 27: Stay & Play Heritage Park Library, 11 a.m.–noon Build community and connect with your little ones through play — an important part of early childhood development and school readiness. Play helps support social-emotional growth and early literacy skills in a fun, engaging way. Open to all ages.

Get ready, Irvine — the 2026 concert lineup at Great Park Live continues to grow, bringing an exciting season of live music featuring throwback favorites, tribute performances, and chart-topping artists.
The music season is underway, with Queen Nation April 11 and the Holo Holo Music Festival April 18. Country stars Billy Currington (May 8) and Lee Brice (July 26) bring fan-favorite hits, while Swift Nation returns May 9 with a tribute to Taylor Swift.
This summer, Wynonna Judd and Melissa Etheridge take the stage July 12, and Rise Against with Alkaline Trio take the stage October 23 for a high-energy rock performance.
