Help Improve the Venta Spur Trail
The City is working to improve safety and accessibility along the 3.7 mile Venta Spur Trail, and is seeking community input.

Join City staff Wednesday, March 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Northwood Community Center to learn about the improvement project, ask questions, and connect with the project team. A brief survey is also available for community members to share their input.

Jeffrey Open Space Trail Extension Impacts Jeffrey Road
Work has begun on the Jeffrey Open Space Trail (JOST) extension, which will run between Barranca Parkway and Walnut Avenue, connecting to the Jeffrey Open Space Trail Bicycle & Pedestrian Bridge being built over the I-5 Freeway and Walnut Avenue.
This phase of the project requires lane closures northbound on Jeffrey Road from Walnut Avenue to Smoketree weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Access to area residences and businesses will be maintained. Detour signage will be in place to direct motorists and pedestrians.
The bridge project and trail extension are anticipated to be completed this summer. Learn more about the JOST Bridge.

Marine Way Project
The City of Irvine is advancing the Marine Way extension and undercrossing to improve access and traffic circulation in and around the Great Park. While Marine Way runs along the southern edge of the park, there is currently no direct rail crossing or direct road access into the Great Park from Marine Way and Barranca, where Marine Way currently ends.
The project will create a new rail undercrossing at Marine Way, providing a direct connection between the Great Park and the Spectrum area for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists.
