2026 State of the City
The City of Irvine invites the community to the annual State of the City Address, presented by Mayor Larry Agran, Tuesday, March 10, at the Irvine Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Drive. The evening begins with a free public reception at 5 p.m., followed by the Mayor’s address at 6 p.m.
Mayor Agran will highlight the City’s accomplishments over the past year and share updates on upcoming projects and priorities shaping Irvine’s future. The free event is open to the public, and no RSVP is required.

City Receives Grant to Support MedTech Companies
The City of Irvine received a $105,000 Catalyst grant to launch the OC MedTech Navigator, a new program that will help medical technology companies navigate more quickly through the City’s planning and permitting process.
The program will provide personalized guidance, coordinated project review, and real-time process tracking to help startups and existing companies build, expand, and bring new technologies to market more efficiently.
Building on the Irvine Navigator Program launched in 2025, the OC MedTech Navigator supports the City’s efforts to encourage innovation, job creation, and long-term business growth. For more information, visit cityofirvine.org/economicdevelopment.

Spring Art Exhibitions Opening Reception: March 7, 2–4 p.m. Exhibition: March 7–May 16 Irvine Fine Arts Center, 14321 Yale Ave.
Arts in Irvine presents two new exhibitions, First Day of Spring Is Today and Sergio O’Cádiz Moctezuma: In Process, opening March 7 at the Irvine Fine Arts Center. Together, the exhibitions explore themes of transformation, experimentation, and the evolving nature of creative practice through painting, sculpture, mixed media, archival materials, and works on paper. An opening reception with the artists will take place Saturday, March 7, from 2 to 4 p.m.

February 11: Irvine 2/11 Marine Battalion Day
Irvine 2/11 Marine Battalion Day honors the brave Marines and Sailors of the 2nd Battalion, 11th Marines, 1st Marine Division. Since adopting the Battalion in 2007, the City of Irvine has partnered with the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee to provide ongoing support through programs, events, and community initiatives. This day recognizes their dedication to protecting our nation and the meaningful connection between Irvine and the 2/11 Marines.
