Getting Around Irvine, Made Easy
The City of Irvine’s Transportation Services offers two convenient ride options for older adults — TRIPS and WeRide — designed to fit different travel needs.
TRIPS provides scheduled rides operated by City staff and is ideal for longer or planned trips, including medical appointments, grocery shopping, and errands. Available to Irvine residents ages 60 and older, as well as adults ages 18–59 who can no longer drive due to a physical or cognitive disability.
WeRide offers same-day, on-demand rides powered by trained volunteer drivers and is best for short, local trips within Irvine. WeRide is available to Irvine residents ages 60 and older.
Registration is quick and easy — simply complete the Transportation Services Application to get started. A $20 annual Transportation Membership provides access to services, with rides available year-round and supported through optional donations.
One membership. Two services. Annual Transportation Membership: $20. Donations per ride are welcome.
