Honor Our Nation’s Heroes at the Veterans Day Ceremony
Join the City of Irvine in paying tribute to the courage and dedication of the men and women who have served our country at the annual Veterans Day Ceremony, Tuesday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park, 4 Civic Center Plaza. This community tradition honors all who have worn our nation’s uniform — celebrating their patriotism, love of country, and commitment to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
This special community gathering features remarks from City officials, local veterans, and members of the armed forces. The event will also include musical tributes and presentations recognizing Irvine’s strong military heritage.
All community members are invited to attend this free event and honor those who have served.

Experience “Splinters” and “Swing Shift” at the Irvine Fine Arts Center
Arts in Irvine invites the community to the opening reception of Alisa Ochoa: Splinters and Swing Shift Saturday, November 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Irvine Fine Arts Center.
Through ceramics, video, sculpture, and sound, these two exhibitions explore themes of memory, loss, and the invisible labor that shapes our everyday lives. Step into immersive installations where grief meets love, and artistry becomes an act of endurance and renewal.

Shop and Celebrate the Season at the 43rd Annual Holiday Faire
Arts in Irvine invites the community to kick off the holiday season at the 43rd Annual Holiday Faire Saturday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Great Park Palm Court Arts Complex.
This festive event transforms the Palm Court into a lively marketplace filled with art, creativity, and holiday spirit. Browse handcrafted gifts from local artists and makers, including ceramics, jewelry, home décor, and more — all to the sounds of live holiday music.

 2/11 Holiday Toy Drive: Brighten the Holidays for Marine Families
Help spread holiday cheer by donating to the City of Irvine’s annual Holiday Toy Drive, benefiting families of Irvine’s adopted 2/11 Marines. Now through December 13, the community is invited to donate new, unwrapped gifts for infants and children up to age 12 at convenient drop-off locations throughout the City.
Nine City facilities serve as drop-off locations. There are also two Drive-thru Drop-off Events taking place Sunday, December 7, and Saturday, December 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Irvine Civic Center parking lot.

Grocery Food Box Available for Eligible Adults
The City of Irvine is providing a free Grocery Food Box to qualifying residents Thursday, November 13, at Heritage Park Community Center. Each eligible adult will receive a 30-pound box packed with essential groceries, including canned fruits and vegetables, meat, rice, cereal, and more.
Pickup will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Reservations are required, and eligibility is based on income guidelines.

 Temporary ICTV Service Interruption
Due to a planned power outage at the Irvine Civic Center, ICTV30 will be temporarily offline. ICTV’s live programming, including cable, YouTube, AT&T, and Granicus streams, will be unavailable beginning Thursday, November 6 at 4 p.m., and is expected to be restored by Monday, November 10 by 8 a.m. On-demand programming will remain available during this time.

November 5: National Stress Awareness Day Observed on the first Wednesday in November, National Stress Awareness Day reminds us to take time to recognize and reduce stress through mindfulness, balance, and self-care.
November 9: World Freedom Day World Freedom Day commemorates the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 — a historic moment that symbolizes unity, democracy, and the power of freedom.
November 11: Veterans Day Veterans Day honors all U.S. military veterans for their service and sacrifice. First observed as Armistice Day in 1918 to mark the end of World War I, it became Veterans Day in 1954 to recognize all who have served our nation.
