Jamboree & Michelson Pedestrian Bridge Project

The following lane closures began Monday, July 28, as part of the Jamboree & Michelson Pedestrian Bridge project:

• Southbound Jamboree Road to westbound Michelson Drive dedicated right-turn lane
• Westbound Michelson Drive to northbound Jamboree Road dedicated right-turn lane

These closures will be in place until the project’s completion in July 2027.

Right turns can still be made from the far right lanes on southbound Jamboree Road and westbound Michelson Drive.

The Jamboree & Michelson Pedestrian Bridge project aims to improve pedestrian safety, ease traffic congestion, and serve as a gateway monument for anyone entering the Irvine Business Complex.

State Route 55 On-Ramp Extended Closure

Orange County Transportation Authority crews will be reconstructing the southbound State Route 55 MacArthur Boulevard loop on-ramp, which will require an extended closure of the on-ramp Tuesday, August 12, at midnight through Friday, August 22, at 5 a.m.

Detour signs will be posted in advance. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead before traveling through the area. View freeway detours.

Laguna Canyon Road Closures

The southbound Laguna Canyon Road connector to northbound I-405 Freeway will be closed through Friday, August 8, from 11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The Barranca Parkway on-ramp to southbound Laguna Canyon Road will be closed through Friday, August 8, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

State Route 73 On-ramp Closure

The Bison Avenue on-ramp to northbound State Route 73 will be closed through Thursday, August 7, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Friday, August 8, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
