In addition to the projects listed below that may impact your commute, you can find information on work being done to enhance our City on the Capital Improvement Projects Map and the Road Construction Map.

Culver Drive and Alton Parkway Intersection Improvements

This intersection improvement project will enhance traffic flow through the intersection and improve signal timing coordination along the Culver Drive and Alton Parkway corridors.

The next phase of the project will focus on reconstructing medians and will require temporary, single lane closures in both directions along Culver Drive. The inner most southbound left turn lane along Alton Parkway will also be closed to facilitate this work, which is scheduled to begin Monday, July 21, and last through Friday, July 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The entire project is anticipated to be complete in summer.

Civic Center Plaza will be closed intermittently Thursday, July 17. Please use the Alton Parkway entrance to access the Civic Center Parking lot.

Phase 6 will have a significant impact on the availability of parking near the Civic Center entrance for approximately the next week, weather permitting. Work will be done weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Additional parking is available off of Harvard Avenue and San Juan.

While the Civic Center parking lot will be impacted, access to City Hall and the Irvine Child Development Center will be maintained.
