Fourth of July Celebration
Join us for a free, family-friendly Fourth of July Celebration at the Great Park — a chance to connect as a community and create lasting memories with friends and family. Taking place Friday, July 4, from 4 to 10 p.m., the inaugural event features a community parade, live entertainment, hands-on activities, and dazzling nighttime drone and fireworks shows.
The celebration kicks off with a Community Parade at 5 p.m. along the Great Park Historical Timeline, where families are invited to bike, roll, or scoot in patriotic style. Participants are encouraged to decorate their wheels for the parade — whether they are riding a bike, scooter, or skateboard, pushing a stroller, or pulling a wagon.
Throughout the day, families can enjoy:
- Lawn games — Bocce, Jenga, Tetris, and Chess
- Organized family challenges — water balloon toss and hula hoop endurance
- Exciting tournament play
Hands-on activities and attractions include:
- Carousel and balloon rides
- Bubble Zone, cake walk, face painting, and craft tents
- Inflatable obstacle courses at The Layover
Inside Hangar 244, guests can enjoy live music, a dance floor, and a silent DJ broadcasting to wireless headphones.
The celebration culminates with a high-tech drone show choreographed to music at 8:45 p.m. and an extravagant aerial fireworks show at 9:45 p.m. Food can be purchased at food trucks and local food booths throughout the day. Bring lawn chairs and a blanket for this communitywide celebration.
Admission and parking are free. Attendees are encouraged to ride-share, carpool, walk or bike to the event. If you are arriving without a vehicle or walking, please enter at Ridge Valley and Corsair or Great Park Lot 4, located near the Tennis Courts off of Skyhawk Blvd.
General parking is available at the Irvine Train Station (free shuttles are provided) or in Lots 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
