Roadway Improvements and Traffic Advisories

June 11–18, 2025

In addition to the projects listed below that may impact your commute, you can find information on work being done to enhance our City on the Capital Improvement Projects Map and the Road Construction Map.

Civic Center Parking Lot Rehabilitation

As the City continues to make improvements to the Civic Center Parking Lot, construction has shifted to the southern lot.

Current work includes the removal of existing pavement and lighting, grading, construction of asphalt pavement, cool pavement coating, and striping.

Work occurs Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. Additional parking is available off of Harvard Avenue and San Juan.

The current construction phase has a significant impact on the availability of parking near the Civic Center entrance. Access to the perimeter drive aisle, accessible parking spaces, and EV charging stations will be available as safety permits.

While the Civic Center parking lot will be impacted, access to City Hall and the Irvine Child Development Center will be maintained.
