June 4–11, 2025
In addition to the projects listed below that may impact your commute, you can find information on work being done to enhance our City on the Capital Improvement Projects Map and the Road Construction Map.
Civic Center Parking Lot Rehabilitation
The City continues to make improvements to the Civic Center Parking Lot, with Phase 5 beginning Friday, June 6.
Phase 5 work will shift construction to the southern lot. Phase 5 improvements include removal of existing pavement and lighting, grading, construction of asphalt pavement, cool pavement coating and striping.
Work will occur Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. Additional parking is available off of Harvard Avenue and San Juan.
Phase 5 will have a significant impact on the availability of parking near the Civic Center entrance for approximately the next month. Access to the perimeter drive aisle, accessible parking spaces, and EV charging stations will be available as safety permits.
While the Civic Center parking lot will be impacted, access to City Hall and the Irvine Child Development Center will be maintained.

Woodbridge North Slurry Seal Operations
As part of the City’s ongoing effort to improve and maintain the quality of our roads, the City will begin pavement rehabilitation and slurry seal on public arterial, local, and residential streets in the Woodbridge North neighborhoods.
Work began Monday, June 2, and occurs weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on residential streets, and between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on arterial streets.
Woodbridge North neighborhoods work schedule:

What to Expect
- At least 72 hours before work begins, temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted where work will occur showing the dates and times parking will be restricted. Vehicles parked in violation of a “No Parking” sign will be towed. Parking is allowed on streets without “No Parking” signs.
- Trash services will occur on normal service days, even if work is scheduled.
- Schedules may change to accommodate weather conditions or unforeseen factors. If work does not occur on the posted date, it will be rescheduled and signs with new dates will be posted 72 hours before work begins.
Every effort will be made to complete this essential work quickly to minimize any inconvenience.
