From intentionally designed programming and services to innovative collections, online databases, and more –– Irvine Public Library is being reimagined as a community space where possibility, imagination, and learning thrive.

Beginning early June, residents can start signing up to receive an exclusive Irvine Public Library card. More details on how to register for a library card will be posted on irvinepubliclibrary.org and our social media channels –– stay tuned!

May 10: Meet your Librarians. Join us at Heritage Park Community Center from 2 to 4 p.m. to meet your librarians, enjoy a storytime, and learn more about upcoming events and Summer with the Library programming.

May 17: Family Storytime Saturdays. Enjoy stories, songs, and rhymes to boost early literacy at Northwood Community Park beginning at 10 a.m.

May 22: Pride in Irvine. Visit us at the annual Pride in Irvine event at Irvine Civic Center from 5 to 7 p.m. Get a limited-edition Irvine Public Library bookmark and learn more about all our fun, summer events.

Your summer is booked. Beginning mid-May, we’re officially launching Summer with the Library –– seasonal activities for kids, teens, and adults. From cozy readings at Pajama Storytime to hitting the books at Teen Study Hall, enjoying a lively book discussion, and more –– find your next summer adventure between the pages of a good book.

Early childhood literacy is foundational for lifelong learning, fostering cognitive development, imagination, and the skills necessary for academic and personal success. Summer with the Library includes a series of Storytime events to partner with parents and guardians in helping promote early childhood literacy.
