Northbound MacArthur Boulevard On-Ramp Extended Closure

Work is underway to reconstruct the northbound State Route 55 (SR-55) MacArthur Boulevard loop on-ramp. Due to inclement weather, the ramp is now expected to reopen to motorists on Wednesday, February 19.

The work is being done by OCTA in cooperation with Caltrans to improve 4 miles of SR-55 between the I-405 and I-5 Freeways. The project will add one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction to help with traffic flow and improve mobility. Please visit octa.net/55Construction for more information.

Civic Center Parking Lot Rehabilitation

The Public Works & Sustainability Department continues to make improvements to the Civic Center Parking Lot, with Phase 1 beginning Tuesday, February 18.

The project includes upgrades to the existing curbs, access ramps, and sidewalk adjacent to the building for ADA compliance, and removal of existing bollards to improve the entrance from the parking lot to the Civic Center.

Phase 1 will primarily impact the perimeter of the parking lot and is anticipated to last approximately four weeks (weather permitting). Work will be done Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and may include weekend work as necessary.
