Style Tip: Dates, Time, and Location
Place commas both before and after dates and years when a date is written in month-day-year order, or when days of the week are involved.
Unless a comma is needed for clarity, avoid using it between short, closely related clauses, such as with the location and time, or when the date is listed on its own without a day of the week or year.

Pet of the Week
Lavender
Bring some color and spice into your life by adopting Lavender from the Irvine Animal Care Center. Lavender is a female white and gray shorthaired rabbit; she is four months old.
Lavender has been at the shelter since January 14. She is a part of the Third Chance for Pets program. This program transfers animals from overcrowded shelters where they may have limited chances for adoption, and brings them to the center for a chance at finding their forever home.
Visit the Irvine Animal Care Center’s website to learn more about Lavender.
